The Ghana Association of Western Australia’s new web site was officially launched today. Themed ghanawa.org.au, this new site will better enable members to keep abreast of announcements, news, and community events. It will also provide general information, links and resources about Ghana and Ghanians living in diaspora. Everyone is encouraged to register on the site. Registered members will receive regular newsletters, can participate in forum discussions and submit news, events and announcements to be published on the site. All submissions need to be approved by an Administrator before being published.

The sensational Ghanaian music crew and 4syte video music award winning group 4X4 has revealed their partnership with leading mobile communications giant and new owners of Zain, Bharti Airtel.
Though refusing to disclose details of the deal due to a supposed policy of confidentiality, the Hiplife group becomes the networks first and official ambassadors in Ghana.
This came to light at the African Regent hotel during a press conference to announce the release of ONE8’s first single.

The Independence Square of Ghana, inscribed with the words “Freedom and Justice, AD 1957″, commemorates the independence of Ghana, a first for Sub Saharan Africa. It contains monuments to Ghana’s independence struggle, including the Independence Arch, Black Star Square and the Liberation Day Monument. It holds a memorial to three Ghanaians shot and killed by colonial authorities. It is also a common site for parades and national festivals every year.

This is a group taking a lot of people by surprise. One8 is a group of eight African artists put together by the legendary Robert Kelly. With intentions of composing more songs the group traveled to Chicago USA in October of 2010 and recorded a single which was just recently launched on the African Continent.
